What is Imagine Cup?

Imagine Cup is a worldwide competition held by Microsoft to give students a simple way to exercise the skills they have acquired through school. Every year, the competition is given a new theme for new set of problem to be tackled.

Science Skate Night

Come out for an awesome night of free skating ending with fun games and prizes.

Skating ability of all levels welcome. There will be training bars available and changing room facilities but no lockers.

Meet at the Ladha centre at 3:15pm for those wishing to walk down to the rink together or meet there at the new Thunderbird Arena rink B (located beside Osborne Gym on the corner of Wesbrook Mall and Thunderbird Blvd).

iBook Union Looking for Webmaster

iBU is the largest student-run non-profit bookstore that dedicates to lead a fair secondhand textbook market in UBC.

We are young, energetic and have a dream to break UBC bookstore's monopoly power and give students a fair secondhand textbook market. We are currently operating in a thousand textbooks every semester with a revenue of more than 10 thousand dollars.

Currently, we are looking for a volunteer position of IT manager who has strong web-building skills and can quickly adapt new team.

Some the most important tasks of IT manager will be to build a on-line communication platform (website). and help iBU to update its operation system.

The time commitment of this volunteer position is about 2–3 hrs/week.

Everyone who is interested in this volunteer opporunity is welcome!

A Byte to Eat

From November 10 to 28, the Computer Science Student Society will be
collecting donations of nonperishable food and money for the Greater
Vancouver Food Bank. We will be accepting donations in our lounge (ICICS
X139). Please bring out a can or two of soup or a few dollars and help
set a great goal for next year's class to beat while helping out those
